Well, school's out. I still have some days left on my contract though, due to being out for weeks - - the surgery/being sick. I'm hoping that I will also get an extension for the summer session - I did the first year, but not last year. If I can't work this summer, I'll have to collect unemployment benefits...again.

As I'm really sick of this yo-yo way of surviving, I really need to buckle down for the pharm tech state exam. It'll cost money, but I need to do it. Hell - even my mom keeps pestering me about it, and she has offered to pay for the damn thing on several occasions already - lol.

How long, exactly, do I have to be sick? I'm so through with this shit.

I didn't go to work on Thursday, and I didn't go yesterday or today...thanks to the aggravating lung infection, which could possibly be 'walking pneumonia'... WTF?

When I saw my doctor on Friday, he wrote out two scripts; one an antibiotic - Zithromax - and cough syrup - Robitussin with codeine.

The wierd thing is that my cough doesn't really hurt my chest cavity when I cough...the pain actually hits my hips and lower back...which is tied in to water retention. Which means - I need to drink more water. Okay.

So, just keep piling on the ailments, god/goddess...yipee.

I'm gonna' attempt to go to work tomorrow though.

While waiting for the bus to go home from work yesterday, I noticed this really pretty fashionable Latina chick talking on her iPhone. A few minutes later, a young skinny black kid all dressed in black walks up to her and asks if he could use her phone to 'call his mother'...(Yeah, right). I could see the hesitation in the girl, so she asked for the phone number, and dialed it for him. I was trying to get her attention, to say 'No! Don't do it!' The few others at the bus stop were watching them too.

Anyway, he gets on the phone, and starts talking to his 'mom'. A lil' bit later, he hands the phone back to the girl, asking if she could call the number again, as he got cut off. I'm thinking, oh no - this is a ploy to gain her trust, as he did hand the phone back to her. When he gets the phone again to continue his conversation with his 'mom', he suddenly takes off running. The girl is shouting 'Dammit! I should have known better! Fuck, fuck, fuck!!!' I didn't want to make her feel worse by telling her 'I told you so', but I did say that I was trying to get her attention. One old Chinese man was shouting 'You fucking asshole' over and over after the running guy.

As discussed, all the girl could do was get her phone locked. Making a call to the police would be useless, as they are short-handed, and have murders to tend to.



I never have anything of value out in the open...not that I have much of value whenever I'm out and about. I'm pretty sure no one's gonna' snatch my cheap Nokia from my hands.

I've been working for almost 2 weeks sick, with a nasty cold (And I haven't been spreading it around either). But my body took its toll, and I had to call in sick today.

With the exception of getting up early to feed the kitties, I went back to bed, and slept until 2pm! (I rarely do that, even when sick).

It s a good thing I see my doctor tomorrow!

A napoleon is a pastry. Its taste and texture is like a croissant (Not in the shape though). It is usually 2 - 3 layers, with cream. The top has a thin coating of icing, many times with a light chocolate drizzle on top.

She received her review about a week ago, and apparently, was not pleased with it. With our review process, co-workers have a lot of say, and we say what we think in the review form.

I'm not sure of what the other cashiers said, but I did state that Big Momma never seems to finish a task, and she has to be told repeatedly - reminded - to do her work. She is messy, and doesn't clean up behind herself - let alone cleaning up behind customers. She takes more than 15 minutes for her breaks, and she never stays around to help out when it's busy...her break, lunch, whatever always comes first. We could have crowds of people lining up, and poof she's gone. (Personally, her being at work or not doesn't really change things for me, as I see her as being basically useless).

Joan - our supervisor told me of a conversation she had with Big Momma. (She knows that I won't repeat anything to anyone else - plus, I think that she had to get stuff off of her chest). Anyway, she said that Big Momma was upset over her review, and asked if there was anything positive about it. Joan told her that the positive was that she get her shit together basically, by October. LOL!

Then Big Momma asked "What about the others?" Joan told her that 'the others' should not be her concern, but since she asked, she broke it down for her:

* Ever since Mai took charge of the coffee station, me and Stan haven't had to go over and do it; we were constantly making coffee, stocking, and cleaning up for you.

* Monique runs circles alll over you; we never have to ask her to do stuff. She is always on the go - stocking salads, clearing the bakery racks - a ton of things that you DON'T do, without being asked to do so.

OH SNAP! I DO RUN CIRLCES ALL OVER HER LAZY ASS, AND I'M ABOUT 15 YEARS OLDER THAN HER.

Joan said that she shut her ass up then. The nerve!

Still sick...but I gotta' go to work, ya' know?

I've spent too much time online today - never did get around to reading another novel. Duh.

Female circumcisions are usually done in 3rd world countires, in unsanitary conditions, by someone wielding a knife...on pre-teen to teenage females...with no type of pain relief.

The majority of male cicumcisons are done in modern, hygenic hospitals, when the male is an infant.

BIG ASS DIFFERENCE, DUDE.

And by the way, my late father's 2nd wife was a victim of the procedure. She's in her 70's now, and it still fucks with her to this day. They may be out there, but I have yet to encounter a man who says that he wants his foeskin back...lol

Because it is done to an infant that doesn't make it better. As if the pain they go through isn't as real and just because the procedure is done in a somewhat sterile environment doesn't mean there aren't complications later. Also not only are their men out there that say they want their foreskin back, but some boys who shower with other boys who are uncircumcised say this as well. I've never heard a uncircumcised man or boy say they wish they had their foreskin chopped off. LOL!

Ummm....Both sexes can produce smegma. In males, smegma is produced and can collect under the foreskin; in females, it collects around the clitoris and in the folds of the labia minora. In males, smegma helps keep the glans moist and facilitates sexual intercourse by acting as a lubricant, however, it looks dirty or somewhere down the line it was taught that it was dirty as a sign of not washing so of course it gets washed away as quickly as possible. Believe me, if I saw female smegma, I wouldn't put my mouth on it either.

It sucks being sick...I've been working with what I know is a cold - with a nasty cough. (Don't worry - I know cough etiquette - lol)

YAH!!! The heat wave is gone...until the next one - lol!

It feels so good to have a cool breeze blowing...especially as I was sick for most of this weekend with a nasty cold (gee...maybe I got some of that asshole's germs when he sneezed all over the place)? Anyway, the horrible cough is almost gone - it still hurts like hell when I do cough though. And the cough syrup doesn't really work...but hey - I'm still alive. LOL.

Besides VR, I've discovered another website that I will spend time on: Goodreads.

Work was normal...for my place of employment anyway...except for the asshole from yesterday, who gave me damp money when paying for his food. I figured out much too late that he sneezed on the $5 bill he handed to me (He was sneezing as he walked away from my register). I was pissed, to put it mildly. I had to take the bill and wash it while washing my hands, all the while apologizing to the waiting customers. They were cool though, considering the situation.

I can't stand uncouth nasty-ass people though. I got my own germs, so I don't want their goddamn cooties. Yuck.

No wonder I'm sick with a nasty cough...which I'm working on getting rid of before Monday...
